据穆斯卡拉父亲透露，穆斯卡拉将继续学业，攻读体育管理硕士学位。他未来计划从事篮球教练的职业，或者努力进入管理团队。

穆斯卡拉在2013年第二轮第44顺位被小牛队选中，随即被交易至老鹰队。他的NBA生涯横跨11个赛季，效力过老鹰、76人、湖人、雷霆、凯尔特人、奇才和活塞。上赛季他重返雷霆，职业生涯出战548场常规赛，场均贡献5.9分和3.1个篮板。他还参加了35场季后赛，场均得到2.7分和1.7个篮板。
